We may never be perfect, but we can always be better.
“Good, Better, Best.
Never let it rest.
Until your good is better and your better is best.” – Tim Duncan
Some (or most) of us strive for perfection..always wanting things to be better but this usually leads to being unsatisfied.
Things can always be better, but they can also be a lot worse. in the Pursuit of perfection we are always one step closer to being better.
How can we apply this to training/CrossFit?
Well, let’s have think about technique. Technique is important for so many reasons – Safety, avoiding injury and also the importance of having great technique (or striving for) sets us up for the highest possible potential/success by moving efficiently.
This can also be highlighted in our Nutrition/Recovery – We can aim to put in place protocols to keep our Nutrition/Recovery in check (meal prepping, tracking food, working with a coach, setting aside time for mobility, prioritising sleep) But, also while remembering we will should always strive for better but it may not always be perfect and that is okay.
We should all aim to hold ourselves to the highest standards, but expect that things will not always be perfect, but instead they will be on the road to better by implementing the desire to always ” Be Better. ”

Aim for Better, not Perfect.
