I actually don’t mind the new years resolutions and new year new me stuff…
In the past I blew up about it saying something to the effect of “You shouldn’t wait until the end of the year before working on yourself”
And I still stand by that… it’s just not very helpful
So, if you have a new year’s resolution, that’s awesome! Here is a little something to help you in pursuit of your goal
If you have announced it on social media, even better! You already have a little accountability
Here are 3 other things you can do to help keep you on track
1.Plan your week around it
Something as simple as google calendar can be useful for this type of thing…
Lets say you want to drop 10 kg.
A solid nutrition plan a hitting the WOD about 4 days per week, you could expect fat loss to be around 250 grams per week. planning things like food prep and what classes you will hit will help you create a realistic time frame and help keep you on a path to your goals.
2.Have fun
Whatever your goal is and however you schedule it, make sure you are having fun along the way. Break up your time like you are someone you employ, and you want this employee to continue to work with you for years to come.
Do not fill your calendar with nothing but things you must get do to achieve your goal…
If you give yourself nothing but lists of things you don’t particularly like doing, with no reward or break then you will quit your new job (resolution) in a week.
3. Mess things up
So you feel better when you do not reach your goal in the exact way you want to, on the exact time line, with no setbacks, I thought I would put messing things up on the list…
so when it happens you know it’s all part of the process.
